About the position

The Armed School Security Officer position in the Dallas/Fort Worth area is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of school campuses, students, faculty, and visitors. This role involves enforcing laws, preventing crimes, and fostering relationships within the school community. The officer will conduct emergency drills, deliver educational presentations, and support law enforcement during emergencies, all while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Enforce laws and maintain security on school campuses.
• Conduct liaison between school administration, law enforcement, and the public.
• Use visitor management systems to check in visitors and contractors.
• Monitor camera systems to identify suspicious activities.
• Deliver classroom presentations tailored to grade levels.
• Coordinate emergency drills and act as a Subject Matter Expert for emergency planning.
• Provide support to law enforcement during emergencies.
• Perform various technical and administrative tasks in support of security services.

Requirements

• Valid driver license
• High School degree or equivalent
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to conduct a physical fitness assessment
• Must pass a background check
• 21 years of age
• U.S. Citizen
