About the position
The Analyst position within the Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Finance group at Goldman Sachs focuses on supporting the valuation and budgeting processes for various asset management businesses. The role requires a strong understanding of financial information and the ability to analyze and project performance metrics. The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members and contribute to process improvements while maintaining a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Determine and support appropriate fair market values across multiple investing disciplines and geographies
- Prepare/maintain multi-year departmental revenue, balance sheet and other risk metric forecasts, involving multiple investment strategies
- Maintain working knowledge of significant investments and forecasting assumptions
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the valuation and budgeting process
- Respond to ad hoc requests and prepare analyses for the same
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other business discipline
- Strong understanding of capital and debt markets
- Strong analytical skills and detail orientation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, oral as well as written
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and handle stressful situations
- Ability to work independently in a small team, exhibit initiative and be proactive
- Ability to organize and analyze large volumes of information
- Team player, willing to help in areas not explicitly related to job duties
- Comfortable working with a manager in a remote location
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
