About the position

The Assistant Manager will support the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional service and a positive dining experience for guests. This role involves collaborating with the management team to oversee staff, manage inventory, and maintain the overall ambiance of the establishment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the café.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Support marketing initiatives and help drive sales through exceptional service and customer engagement.
  • Prepare reports on staff performance and customer feedback for the Store Manager.
  • Assist in scheduling staff and managing labor costs effectively.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to developing strategies for improving service and operations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant setting, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • A passion for food and customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Japanese restaurant/pastry cafe experience.
