About the position

The Associate Business Analyst serves as a liaison between various business units within Fort Washington Investments and W&S Systems, focusing on hardware and software needs. This role involves acting as a subject matter expert for FWIA systems, developing process improvements, documenting system requirements, and facilitating their resolution. The analyst is responsible for report evaluation, development, and implementation, working independently while keeping management updated on progress.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement system process improvements within internal business units and policies.
  • Define business unit requirements for new and existing system hardware and software.
  • Maintain requirements through learning and analyzing new systems and changes to existing systems.
  • Develop written detailed requirements for requests and obtain sign-off from business units before development.
  • Provide checkout and coordinate final approval from requesting areas after solutions are developed.
  • Define and document business unit reporting requirements, developing new and enhanced reports.
  • Ensure requests are feasible, cost-effective, and have minimal adverse impact on the organization.
  • Coordinate development of complex reporting requests with W&S Systems.
  • Stay current on technical and industry information vital to the operating area.
  • Make recommendations for workflow, process, or system enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis for potential implementations.
  • Follow project management processes to ensure project success, maintaining project status regarding deadlines and costs.
  • Serve as key technical contact with external vendors for new releases and issue management.
  • Work with business units on applications and processes to report statistical data for quality measurement.
  • Gather requirements from FWIA departments for various projects and ensure completion.
  • Complete Business Recovery impact analysis for all systems and technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Information Systems.
  • Proven experience in learning new concepts and applications to become a resident expert.
  • Experience in assessing, analyzing, writing, and communicating business requirements for projects.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously and completing tasks accurately and timely.
  • Project management experience in planning, executing, and maintaining projects from start to finish.
  • Experience working independently to make decisions and demonstrate initiative.
  • Experience in identifying, defining, and resolving problems and interpreting data.
  • Experience facilitating user-training sessions on software applications.
  • Experience in a team environment sharing knowledge and resources.
  • Experience maintaining professionalism under stress and heavy workloads.
  • Experience interacting with various levels of management.
  • Working knowledge of Trade Order Management, Electronic Trade Processing, and related systems.

Nice-to-haves
