About the position

The Associate Product Manager for Conventional Processing & Embedding at Sakura Finetek USA is responsible for integrating and coordinating marketing plans for assigned products, specifically focusing on Essential/Advanced Tissue Processing and Embedding instruments. This role involves product management, market research, and supporting sales teams to drive revenue and strategic objectives. The position requires a strong understanding of histopathology and involves both upstream and downstream marketing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate and coordinate tactical and strategic marketing plans for assigned products.
  • Manage Essential/Advanced Tissue Processing and Embedding instruments from a product management perspective.
  • Conduct market research and collect market intelligence to identify customer needs.
  • Define product specifications and enhancement specifications for assigned product lines.
  • Design and manage customer evaluations, beta testing, and controlled releases for new products.
  • Develop and implement market launch plans to achieve sales and profit objectives.
  • Provide marketing input for product development processes and document in FDIS, MDIS, and URS.
  • Manage product-related expense budget and control spending to maximize return on investment.
  • Coordinate information and provide expertise to internal and external personnel.
  • Regularly communicate progress reports and manage communication with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years of marketing experience in the clinical or research field.
  • Three (3) years of work experience in histopathology or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of tissue processing and embedding techniques.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications like Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • HT (ASCP), QIHC(ASCP), MT(ASCP) certification preferred.
