About The Position

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on providing fast and friendly customer service.
  • Assist customers by making product suggestions and filling special orders.
  • Answer and respond to incoming calls appropriately.
  • Receive and appropriately resolve customer complaints and report to the Store Director as needed.
  • Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques via telephone, in-store intercom, and one-on-one customer interaction.
  • Oversee and assist with all department duties such as preparation, brewing, and serving food items.
  • Implement proper and efficient product preparation and packaging techniques.
  • Use and operate related equipment such as kitchen utensils, conventional and microwave ovens, coffee grinder, coffee machine, espresso machine, blenders, printers, and pallet jacks.
  • Maintain hot and cold foods to company standards.
  • Brew coffee and tea.
  • Operate electronic cash register to total customer's final bill, accept payment, and make correct change for customers.
  • Maintain case cleanliness and visual appeal.
  • Ensure the proper cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the Starbucks area and equipment, ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Ensure temperatures are maintained in all phases of preparation, display, and storage.
  • Schedule, supervise, train, and assign duties to department employees.
  • Train employees on store policies, sales, and record-keeping procedures.
  • Identify and train employees with high potential for advancement opportunities.
  • Plan daily operations and monitor production processes following company procedures and profitability.
  • Prepare sales and inventory reports and take physical inventory every 4 weeks.
  • Control inventory to ensure adequate product quantity, quality, and freshness, maintaining inventory levels according to division directives.
  • Stock and rotate product, maintaining and organizing the cooler.
  • Understand opening and closing department procedures.
  • Build displays, rotate, and discard outdated or spoiled products.
  • Monitor employee productivity and evaluate overall performance.
  • Initiate personnel actions such as pre-employment interviews, transfers, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Implement effective promotional and seasonal displays.
  • Perform receiving duties including breaking down loads, verifying orders using invoices, inspecting quality, reporting shortages, stocking, and rotating product.
