About the position
The Automation Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment in a food manufacturing environment. This role involves training and mentoring Electromechanical Technicians, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and conducting regular inspections of equipment. The position is full-time, working the day shift from 6am to 2:30pm, and offers a competitive hourly wage along with comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities
- Train, mentor, and assist Electromechanical Technicians.
- Schedule all tasks of Electromechanical staff on all shifts.
- Maintain regular communication and work in tandem with Maintenance Personnel.
- Ensure maintenance and production schedules are followed.
- Conduct regular inspections of production equipment.
- Address any corrective, preventive, or planned maintenance repairs.
- Work with Electromechanical Staff to determine machine breakdowns and return equipment in a timely manner.
- Ensure activities are performed in accordance with GMP, company SOPs, and safety regulations.
- Maintain and oversee the repairs of AC/DC, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or High School Diploma with related experience.
- Knowledge of basic configuring, programming, and modification of PLCs.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing (preferred).
