Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must submit to and pass a drug screen and background check
• Must meet all requirements to obtain an airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable)
• Must have a reliable mode of communication and transportation
• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals
• Effective listening skills

Responsibilities

• Handle and transport baggage as needed by supervisor
• Perform heavy lifting of passenger's baggage
• Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
• Place luggage onto the conveyor belt and space out luggage to prevent jams
• Safely transport oversized passenger luggage from the ticket counter to TSA for screening and processing
• Adhere to all airport and government policies and regulations
