About The Position

The BI Developer II position at HCA Healthcare is focused on leveraging business intelligence (BI) tools and analytics to enhance service management and enterprise process efficiency. This role involves participating in the entire BI lifecycle, from requirements gathering to report creation, while ensuring data governance and quality in BI reporting. The developer will collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve issues and improve BI solutions across the organization, contributing to high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required; equivalent job experience may be considered.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • 3 years of management experience.
  • Proficient in ServiceNow Operational Reporting.
  • Proficient in Tableau, Qlikview, or PowerBI.
  • Advanced SQL experience with understanding of relational database systems and data modeling.
  • Experience in an Agile BI reporting development environment.
  • Advanced understanding of BI tool architectures, functions, and features.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ServiceNow preferred.
  • Python experience preferred.
  • Javascript experience preferred.
  • Understanding of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all aspects of the BI lifecycle from requirements to data analysis and report creation.
  • Build knowledge and assist in executing strategies for successful development of BI reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
  • Generate, format, interpret, and prepare reports, scorecards, and dashboards to support business objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth 'what if' analysis of data using available tools with direction and supervision.
  • Collaborate with BI teams and leadership on program issues and risks, identifying solutions.
  • Understand data to develop and design reports, facilitating discussions regarding data outputs.
  • Provide assistance for BI reporting solutions, including engaging in joint-analysis with application development teams.
  • Participate in IT and departmental project activities, including project meetings and documentation support.
