About the position

Holiday City West is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to maintain financial records and assist homeowners in the absence of the office manager. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial management within a 55+ HOA Community in Toms River, New Jersey, which serves over 1800 homes and hosts year-round activities for its residents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general ledger reconciliation
• Utilize financial software to record and process expenditures, receipts, payroll, and other financial transactions
• Perform account analysis and reconciliation
• Apply technical accounting knowledge to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Utilize Enumerate/TOPS to manage accounts
• Assist homeowners

Requirements

• Bookkeeping experience required
• Familiarity with Enumerate/TOPS or similar preferred
• Solid understanding of accounting principles
• Knowledge of property management preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in public accounting is a plus
