About the position

The Branch Manager is responsible for directing and supervising the staff and daily operations of the assigned branch location. The role focuses on ensuring quality customer service and achieving sales or productivity goals while fostering a positive work environment and managing branch workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise the staff and day-to-day operations in the branch.
  • Attract, train, and retain qualified candidates for all roles.
  • Create and maintain a positive and engaged work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide recommendations for promotion and salary adjustments.
  • Conduct daily team meetings to clarify daily activities.
  • Coordinate employee work schedules and control overtime expenses.
  • Resolve employee conflicts and work closely with the Human Resources department.
  • Collaborate with the Division Manager to set performance standards based on financial and operational goals.
  • Prepare and provide performance and production reporting to the Division Manager.
  • Direct the purchase and maintain adequate core inventory for rebuilding and remanufactured products.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals and objectives clearly.
  • Identify training needs and develop plans to meet those needs.
  • Maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective clients, demonstrating excellent customer service.
  • Answer incoming sales calls as needed to complete business transactions.
  • Enter sales and lost sales into the ERP system.
  • Create work orders and invoices as needed.
  • Complete and oversee daily reconciliations and bank deposits.
  • Participate in community activities to promote the organization and build goodwill.
  • Inspect order accuracy before accepting vendor deliveries and perform quality checks on inventory.
  • Conduct cycle counts and report discrepancies to leadership.
  • Follow all company policies related to Loss Prevention.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Secondary Education preferred.
  • Knowledge of Diesel Engines and their components.
  • At least three years of experience working in branch operations.
  • One year as an Assistant Branch Manager, Shop Manager, or Sales Lead is highly preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP platforms is a plus; Epicor Prelude is utilized by the organization.
  • Experience with Inventory Control.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Champion all safety policies.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP platforms is a plus; Epicor Prelude is utilized by the organization.
