About the position

UnionPay International is seeking a Business Development Manager to enhance merchant acceptance quality and support key merchants and acquirers in the U.S. This role involves conducting merchant audits, providing training, and developing the local market to solve acceptance issues and promote UnionPay services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct merchant audits and post decals to enhance acceptance quality.
  • Provide training to key merchants on UnionPay acceptance.
  • Follow up regularly to resolve UnionPay acceptance issues.
  • Develop the local market and support key merchants and acquirers in the U.S.
  • Approach and negotiate with key merchants regarding UnionPay acceptance and joint promotions.
  • Partner with acquirers and merchants to customize product solutions based on their needs.
  • Promote UnionPay card acceptance at POS, ATM, and online payment channels.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities to increase transaction volume of UnionPay cards.
  • Negotiate business agreements and develop new business partnerships.
  • Communicate daily with HQ business and product teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above.
  • At least 2 years' related working experience.
  • Technical background in the financial industry is a plus.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software.
  • Programming skills are a plus.
  • Ability to make frequent business travels.
  • Exceptional ability to manage and grow internal and external resources.
