About the position
The Patient Intake and Communications Representative serves as a vital link between Midwest Vision Partners and its patients, ensuring efficient scheduling and triaging of appointments across various subsidiaries. This remote position requires a high level of customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with patients to address their needs and concerns.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all physician schedules to ensure smooth appointment flow.
- Call patients to reschedule appointments as needed.
- Contact patients who have not responded to reminder calls to ensure appointments are rescheduled.
- Type and distribute weekly doctor schedules to medical/surgical offices and staff.
- Send information packets and mass mailings to patients and offices as requested.
- Ensure appropriate documentation is provided in each patient record.
- Manage incoming and outgoing clinical summaries and referrals in patient records.
- Triage calls to ensure compliance with location doctors.
- Attend on-site training and continuous education 2-3 times per month.
- Achieve Quality and NPS score requirements.
- Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
- Meet Call Center Remote Work Technology requirements.
- Perform various other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Strong ability to work independently with limited oversight post-training.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong phone and verbal communication skills, including active listening.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including communication via email and text.
- Computer proficiency.
- Minimum of 2 years of medical and/or clinical experience.
- High school diploma.
