About the position

The Canvasser position at Mi Familia Vota involves engaging with Latino communities to enhance voter registration and education efforts. This role is crucial for increasing voter turnout and ensuring that the Latino community is informed and mobilized during electoral campaigns. The position is temporary and part-time, aligning with campaign deadlines, and requires individuals to be trained in effective canvassing techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Canvass Latino communities for voter registration, education, and mobilization efforts.
  • Identify likely voters for the upcoming elections.
  • Engage community members and voters around voter registration, voter education, Vote by Mail, and Get Out The Vote (GOTV).
  • Increase Latino voter turnout through Get Out The Vote tactics.
  • Follow all required reporting procedures and utilize appropriate voter databases.
  • Follow all established safety and security protocols.
  • Escalate any concerns to Canvas Lead.
  • Provide daily reporting to their assigned Canvass Lead.
  • Attend all training as directed by their supervisor.
  • Adhere to all state laws and regulations regarding voter registration and voter engagement efforts.
  • Promote an environment in which equal opportunity and diversity are valued.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in sales (preferred).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
