About the position

The Cardiac Sonographer I is responsible for performing and recording Echocardiology diagnostic tests, following established policies and procedures. This role involves obtaining information about normal and abnormal anatomy to assist in diagnosing diseases, ensuring the quality of echo exams, and recording results. The position requires knowledge and skills to provide appropriate patient care based on the ages of the patients served.

Responsibilities

• Perform and record Echocardiology diagnostic tests.
• Obtain information about normal and abnormal anatomy for disease diagnosis.
• Ensure echo exams are of acceptable quality and accurately record results.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary for patient care appropriate to the ages of patients served.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's degree (any major) or foreign equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in the U.S. or Canada.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
• Understanding of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of the patient population served.
