About the position
The Caregiver position in North Dallas, Plano, and Frisco involves providing high-quality home healthcare services to clients, particularly seniors. This role requires experienced caregivers who can work flexible hours, primarily on weekends, for shifts ranging from 4 to 8 hours. The position emphasizes the importance of compassion and dedication to caring for individuals with various needs, including those with dementia and Alzheimer's.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance to clients in their homes.
- Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Utilize lifting equipment such as gait belts and hoyer lifts to assist clients safely.
- Drive clients to appointments, errands, and social activities as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families regarding care needs and updates.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in caregiving.
- Experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, and memory care.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- CNA certification or related experience preferred.
- Must have Hoyer lift experience and lifting ability.
- Valid driver's license and insurance in your name.
- Clean background check required.
- Basic computer skills and ability to communicate via email and text message.
Nice-to-haves
- CNA certification preferred.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Experience in cooking and engaging clients in activities.
