About the position

The Caregiver in Home Care provides essential support and assistance to individuals in their own homes, focusing on personal hygiene and household functions. This role emphasizes building trusted relationships with patients and their families while ensuring a high standard of care. Caregivers are expected to work flexible hours and contribute to a culture of caring and belonging within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions for clients.
  • Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager.
  • Notify the Agency Director immediately of any incidents or accidents.
  • Drive safely and comply with traffic regulations when business travel is required.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, dental care, nail care, skin care, and transferring patients.
  • Assist with household tasks essential to clients' personal care.

Requirements

  • Six months of experience in home care preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet patients' needs.
  • Ability to function in any home situation regardless of the patient's background.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
  • Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Strong commitment to the organization's goals, mission, and philosophy.
