About the position
The University Book Store is seeking temporary staff for the busy Winter RUSH period, which occurs at the beginning of the quarter when students return to class. This role is ideal for energetic individuals who enjoy helping others and are available to work during this peak time. Temporary staff will provide excellent customer service and may take on various roles depending on business needs and personal qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Process sales transactions on the register as a cashier.
- Pick, pack, and process web orders in eCommerce roles.
- Assist with packing and shipping orders in operations roles.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Demonstrated ability and strong desire to provide high standard of customer service with enthusiasm and energy.
- Excellent record of attendance and reliability in previous employment.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Positive, can-do attitude!
Nice-to-haves
- Previous retail customer service experience preferred.
