About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions efficiently. Your ability to engage with customers and promote products will contribute to a positive shopping experience and drive sales.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with inquiries.
• Process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges in a timely manner.
• Utilize phone etiquette to assist customers over the phone when necessary.
• Promote products through upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
• Address customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cash handling or operating a cash register is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills are essential for accurate transaction processing.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
