About the position

The Cashier/Food Service Worker position at CulinArt involves operating the Point of Sale system, assisting in food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness at the coffee and cashier stations. This full-time role is essential for providing quality service in a dining facility, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates Point of Sale system and performs cashier duties.
• Assists the Chef in food preparation, including meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts.
• Helps prepare catering orders as needed.
• Performs general cleaning duties, including trash removal.
• Provides service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Maintains cash accuracy with receipts during cashiering.
• Makes deposits at the end of each shift.
• Inventories and restocks supplies and food products.
• Sets up serving line and ensures food temperatures are recorded and within acceptable ranges.
• Serves hot and cold items to customers.
• Stocks refrigerator and pantries using the first in, first out rule.
• Records replenished amounts on floor stock form for each unit.
• Records refrigerator temperatures on floor stock form daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous cash handling experience is preferred but not required.
• Food preparation experience is preferred but not required.
