About the position

The Center Based BCBA position at PLAN involves working collaboratively in a dynamic clinic environment focused on the holistic development of children with autism. BCBAs will engage in both discrete trials and natural environment teaching, ensuring skill generalization and social opportunities. The role emphasizes teamwork, regular collaboration, and a supportive community aimed at enhancing therapeutic practices and outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
  • Provide behavioral therapy and interventions for children with developmental disabilities, including autism.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation and records.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and support training and development initiatives.
  • Lead public speaking engagements to educate families and staff on behavioral health strategies.

Requirements

  • BCBA certification and Maryland State ABA License (LBA).
  • Leadership experience, both professionally and personally.
  • Experience working directly with kids with ASD.
  • Knowledge and experience with FBAs and FAs.
  • Ability to complete assessments and write assessment reports from a template.
  • Knowledge and experience with various standard assessments such as the Vineland, PDD-BI, VB-MAPP, and the SRS.
  • Background in training others including staff in the field and others outside of the field.
  • Ability to collaborate with peers, parents, and support staff.
  • At least one year of experience working as a BCBA or BCaBA.
  • Ability to think outside the box, innovate, and problem solve.
  • A desire to form positive relationships with parents and outside professionals.
  • A strong desire to change lives, one program at a time.
  • An ability and willingness to be involved in implementation, modeling, and client care.

Nice-to-haves

  • Public speaking experience.
