About the position

Responsibilities

• Assist with observed non-controlled medication administration
• Procure lab specimens
• Conduct admissions intake
• Perform clerical tasks including appointment scheduling
• Transport patients to and from hospitals and medical appointments
• Assist with scoring COWS and CIWA
• Take routine and Q4H vitals
• Pass scheduled and stat narcotic and non-narcotic medications
• Maintain a clean living environment and ensure patient safety
• Interact compassionately with patients to encourage engagement in treatment
• Record patient observations and activities accurately and timely

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Some training in a medical setting (CAN, LPN, M.A., Nurses Aid, MT)
• National certification as a medical assistant
• Current CPR certification for Healthcare
• Clean driving record with 'for hire' (F) endorsement preferred
• Knowledge/experience working with clients who are chemically dependent preferred
• Understanding of the facility's treatment program and philosophy
• Knowledge of 12 step recovery programs

Nice-to-haves
