About the position
The Children's Ministry Assistant role is a part-time position focused on providing care and support to children from birth through 5th grade during church services. The assistant will work primarily on Sundays, helping to create a nurturing and engaging environment for children while collaborating with other team members.
Responsibilities
- Be present and available to work on Sundays from 9:30am-12:30pm
- Demonstrate nurture, love, and care for a variety of ages of children
- Feel comfortable with being a floater and going where needed between 2 classes
- Follow a given lesson plan with thoughtfulness, flexibility as needed, and enthusiasm
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate and assist programs for children
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Requirements
- Church experience
- Experience with references working with children from birth through 5th grades
- CPR trained (will pay for if hired)
