About the position

The Client Development Executive at Cox Business is a strategic sales role focused on acquiring new clients and developing existing accounts. This position involves leveraging cutting-edge technology solutions to transform client businesses, with a strong emphasis on meeting sales quotas and earning commissions based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new prospects in the assigned territory.
  • Research prospects' businesses to prepare for sales calls.
  • Develop and maintain sales growth plans for each account in the territory.
  • Communicate with prospective customers to explore mutually beneficial objectives.
  • Meet with prospective customers to assess their business technology needs.
  • Collaborate with internal sales support and service delivery teams to meet customer needs.
  • Make face-to-face or virtual sales presentations to decision makers.
  • Negotiate pricing, products, and promotions with new customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a related field; or a bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience; a master's degree with 2 years of experience; or a Ph.D. in a related discipline.
  • A valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience using Windows-based PCs, Microsoft Office, and a CRM.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in B2B outside sales with quotas.
  • Experience in field sales, pipeline development, new lead generation, and prospecting.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry, or with technology or cloud sales.
