About the position

The Client Service Representative at VCA Telegraph Road Animal Hospital plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for clients and their pets. This position is focused on maintaining trust and confidence in the practice while managing various administrative tasks and supporting the veterinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and answer telephones, guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring efficient use of time.
  • Place outbound calls for follow-ups and reach out to prospective clients.
  • Present and explain fees, processing payments accurately.
  • Recommend, select, and obtain products and services, including prescriptions.
  • Educate clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care.
  • Manage medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence.
  • Maintain hospital cleanliness, including the removal of animal waste.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a veterinary or medical setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of animal care and husbandry.
