About the position

SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Cloud Computing Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert to enhance the security framework and oversee the delivery of services in a multi-Cloud environment. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, addressing issues, and supporting the Air Force Cloud One Program, which provides critical IT infrastructure for DoD Services and Agencies. The position requires effective communication with internal and external teams, technical expertise in cybersecurity, and the ability to drive team success while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with security standards.

Responsibilities

• Support 15 ATO's while serving as the Subject Matter Expert in all areas of Cybersecurity.
• Provide technical expertise in support of an 8-member team.
• Communicate effectively with both internal and external teams, including the government customer.
• Track the delivery of services and oversee day-to-day operations in a multi-cloud environment.
• Manage tasks, timelines, and deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Drive team and departmental success by pushing limits to achieve goals.
• Contribute knowledge and expertise to guide decision-making for department leadership.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of accessible district information resources.
• Ensure network security, availability, and integrity.
• Implement controls and fulfill the RMF Practitioner role as defined in DoDI 8510.01.
• Interface with cybersecurity stakeholders during meetings and discussions.
• Support strategic planning by determining which CSP services are listed on the Provisional Authorization (PA) IL.
• Advise the government on new features offered by cloud service providers and make recommendations for risk acceptance decisions.
• Provide documented secure solutions that meet RMF requirements and identify data flows and interconnections.
• Support security assessments and resolve issues identified by assessment teams.
• Provide an incident response and disaster recovery plan.
• Support POA&M reviews and recommendations.
• Create System Security Plan (SSP) templates for documenting common inherited security features.
• Communicate information to program leadership and government stakeholders.
• Participate in weekly engineer review board and change management processes.

Requirements

• US Citizenship required with a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and 14 years of experience; Master's degree and 12 years of experience; or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Security+ certification required.
• Experience proposing, planning, and directing multiple technical projects.
• Ability to interact with high-level customers and collaborate with key stakeholders.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools and systems.
• Experience with the DoD RMF Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process.
• Knowledge of DoD and USAF training requirements in DoDM 8140.03, DoD 8570.01, DoD 8570.01-M, and AFMAN 17-1303.
• Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Knowledge of compliance verification methods including DISA STIG, SRGs, and best practices.
• Familiarity with the DoD suite of security tools including ACAS, HBSS, and eMASS.
• Experience communicating and briefing customers and management.
• Experience with ServiceNow or Atlassian software suite.
