About the position

The CNC Mazak Operator position involves operating Mazak CNC machines in a manufacturing environment. The role requires candidates to have experience with CNC machines, specifically Mazak, and to work within a cross-functional team. This is a full-time opportunity with multiple shifts available, primarily first shift, and candidates must possess at least a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work with CNC lathes to manufacture metallic components, ranging in size from 2 inches in diameter and short lengths to 20 inches in diameter and long lengths.
• Use instruments, gauges, and shop tools to verify adherence to operational drawings and ensure part conformity.
• Interpret and comprehend basic technical drawings to produce parts that meet specified requirements.
• Adjust machine offsets to maintain part conformity.
• Utilize indexable cutting tools to ensure proper cutting edges.
• Perform minor machine setups under supervision.
• Maintain lot traceability and accountability.
• Measure and document dimensions during operations and maintain machining and operational records.
• Demonstrate willingness to teach and help improve the skills of others.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to ensure safe operations.
• Work independently with minimal direction from senior personnel within the functional area.
• Follow company processes and procedures to comply with ISO and AS9100 standards.
• Adhere to established company safety standards.

Requirements

• Experience with Mazak CNC Machines
• 3-5 years experience operating CNC machines
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
