About the position

As a CNC Machine Operator at Crusoe, you will oversee the daily operations of Laser, Punch, and panel bender machines, ensuring the production of high-quality parts according to customer specifications. This role involves interpreting blueprints, setting up machinery, performing maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols while contributing to the innovative AI-first cloud infrastructure solutions that Crusoe is known for.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprint designs to manufacture products/components to customer specifications.
  • Set up machinery to manufacture parts and load feed mechanisms with sheet metal.
  • Make mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts meet quantity and quality requirements.
  • Periodically check CNC machines to ensure tooling is in good condition and replace/sharpen tooling as needed.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Run tests before the start of operations and inspect machinery and products for quality assurance.
  • Review work orders and programs for accuracy and verify required materials for designs.
  • Maintain tooling inventory for current and future production efficiency.
  • Utilize the quality control system and quality control check sheets.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a CNC Operator or Machinist.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Experience working with shop machinery including Shear, CNC, and Brake Press.
  • Methodical and analytical problem-solving skills with strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull merchandise up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily.
  • Constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.

Nice-to-haves

  • Laser and punch experience preferred but not required.
  • Certificate of 2-year technical degree in Machine Technology, Precision Machining, or CNC Operations preferred but not required.
