About the position

The Combustion Technician I position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of oil and gas production equipment, including spark plug and oil changes, electrical troubleshooting, and assisting with start-ups. The role emphasizes safety and requires flexibility in working hours to meet customer needs, with a focus on teamwork and quality work to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, inspections, repairs, and electrical troubleshooting on oil & gas production equipment.
  • Assist Field Service team with equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and start-ups as needed.
  • Complete timecards, field tickets, and material transfers accurately and timely.
  • Maintain company truck and ensure all required maintenance is performed.
  • Complete all job-related safety documentation to ensure safe job completion.
  • Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following safety procedures and maintaining equipment.
  • Work on manlifts at heights between 20-50 feet as required.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and flexibility to work hours necessary to meet customer requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Successfully pass and obtain DOT Certification.
  • Successfully pass and obtain DISA Certification.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in oil & gas field service work.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of environmental equipment experience or production/midstream equipment experience.
  • 1-2 years of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the National Electrical Code and the Electrical Trade.
  • Working knowledge of hand tools associated with the electrical trade and electrical testing equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Training/Experience in Industrial Wiring, Motor Controls, Relay Logic, and PLCs.
  • Training/Experience reading and interpreting Electrical, P&ID, GA, and Fabrication drawings.
  • Training/Experience working with electrical instrumentation and motors.
  • Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and Outlook.
