About the position

The Community Outreach Specialist / Alumni Program Coordinator is responsible for managing alumni clients and coordinating activities and events that support alumni programming, ultimately helping clients achieve lasting recovery. This role involves local travel and event planning, with a focus on building relationships within the community and promoting Akua's Extended Care Program.

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop, build, and maintain relationships with alumni and partners to identify clients in need of treatment.
• Plan and facilitate activities and wellness events to support the alumni program.
• Promote and raise awareness of Akua's Extended Care Program at various events and maintain positive community relationships.
• Educate the public about Akua's clinical programs and culture.
• Possess knowledge of clinical modalities, treatment delivery, crisis interventions, and program functions.
• Design, implement, and manage strategies for alumni referrals and market penetration.
• Maintain and grow the alumni database to ensure engagement.
• Collaborate with clinical, admissions, and marketing teams.
• Strategically travel and complete calls to maintain relationships with community partners.
• Achieve internal goals to maximize awareness of Akua and support clients in achieving long-lasting recovery.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Minimum of 1 year of Behavioral Health Outreach Experience.
• Valid Driver License with a clean driving record.
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.
