About the position

The Compliance Specialist at Yaamava Resort & Casino plays a crucial role in ensuring that the Facilities Department adheres to all internal, federal, and state regulations. This position involves managing compliance-related tasks, conducting audits, and developing policies to maintain regulatory compliance while upholding confidentiality and legal obligations.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand policies, standards, and regulations applicable to Facilities, EVS, Horticulture, and Safety Departments.
• Assist in the design and development of programs, policies, and procedures for compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support the Sr. Manager in implementing and maintaining internal audit activities.
• Conduct scheduled audits and reviews to ensure compliance standards are met.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all compliance-related data for the department.
• Track relevant laws and regulations and update operating manuals accordingly.
• Provide training to employees on compliance-related topics and procedures.
• Conduct internal investigations on irregularities and errors to identify hidden risks.
• Develop data analytics, generate reports, and present recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of progressive auditing, regulatory, or continuous improvement experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, and Office 365 suite required.
• Experience in a Casino or Hospitality preferred.
