About the position

The Construction Management Representative (CMR) will lead the rehabilitation of the Park Water Systems at Big Bend National Park, overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong expertise in construction management and engineering, particularly in managing federal projects within unique ecological and historical settings. The CMR will ensure high standards of safety, quality, and compliance while coordinating with various project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Utilize construction management software to track project progress and manage schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contracts and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Review blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate implementation of water systems and other construction elements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and address any issues promptly.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in construction management and engineering.
• Experience managing federal projects in unique ecological and historical settings.
• Technological knowledge in construction management software, cost estimating, and scheduling software.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction contracts and associated plans and specifications.
• OSHA 30-hour construction safety training certification.
• Ability to perform pre-inspections, inspections during construction, and post inspections.
