About the position

The Construction Project Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Owners of the company, Project Managers, Superintendents, and the Office Manager. This position is essential for ensuring that all aspects of construction projects are managed effectively and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or municipal buildings, which is crucial for understanding the specific requirements and challenges associated with these types of projects. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include managing project documentation, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines. In this role, the Project Coordinator will be expected to handle submissions such as submittals, insurance certifications, ASIs (Architect's Supplemental Instructions), RFIs (Requests for Information), contracts, change orders, and modifications. A strong understanding of accounting practices related to construction projects is also necessary. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience with Procore and/or Prolog software, which are essential tools for project management in the construction industry. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. The Project Coordinator will work full-time, typically during an 8 or 10-hour shift from Monday to Friday, and will be based in Chandler, AZ. The role may involve some travel, estimated at around 25%, to various project sites as needed. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and has a passion for the construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Owners, Project Managers, and Superintendents in project coordination.
  • Manage project documentation including submittals, insurance certifications, ASIs, RFIs, contracts, change orders, and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project updates and requirements.
  • Utilize Procore and/or Prolog software for project management tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with accounting practices related to construction projects.

Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant experience in construction, preferably in commercial or municipal buildings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Procore and/or Prolog software.
  • Knowledge of submitting submittals, insurance certifications, ASIs, RFIs, contracts, change orders, and modifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
