About the position

The Creative Assistant internship at Motorcar Parts of America, Inc. (MPA) offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic marketing environment. Interns will contribute to the marketing department by developing content for various platforms, editing marketing materials, and engaging with innovative projects related to automotive products. This role is designed for driven individuals looking to enhance their skills in a corporate setting while working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop content for the MPA Marketing Department and Innovation Studio from home.
• Create social media posts for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to promote MPA and its affiliated brands.
• Edit product brochures and collateral pieces in InDesign to support marketing efforts.
• Edit 4K videos using Blackmagic video equipment located in the studio in Torrance, CA.
• Assist in the creation and editing of apps and web content to support marketing efforts.
• Gain experience in working with 3D animation and motion graphics.
• Manipulate and enhance scanned or digital images using specialized software.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud suite in a Mac environment, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe Lightroom.
• Some experience in film editing is a plus, but not required.
• Experience in developing social media content and knowledge of the latest social media trends.
• Photography experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills, basic data analytics knowledge, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in photography is preferred.
