About the position

The Customer Service Representative / Cashier position at Western Building Center in Evergreen, MT, is a full-time role focused on delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. The successful candidate will engage with customers, assist with sales, and maintain the organization of the retail facility while gaining knowledge in building materials sales.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that WBC customers and clients have the best possible retail experience
• Answer phones, provide customer service over the telephone or route calls appropriately
• Fulfill sales goals as directed by the store manager
• Maintain clean and organized appearance of the retail facility
• Plan and pace own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals
• Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attend periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

• Some computer experience is necessary
• Experience in the lumber and building materials industry is recommended
• Knowledge of company products sufficient to determine appropriate applications
• Good customer service and communications skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to read customer orders and follow safety regulations
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems
