About The Position

The CV Technician III Reg position at Del Sol Medical Center involves assisting with procedures in the Electrophysiology (EP) lab and Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The role focuses on delivering non-narcotic medications, operating and troubleshooting equipment, monitoring patients, and ensuring quality patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining sterile techniques, patient safety, and departmental inventory management.

Requirements

• Registry in Radiologic Technologists RCIS or RCVT certification.
• Minimum of 2 years recent cath lab experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months of hire date.
• High school graduate or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an Accredited Cardiovascular technology college.
• RCIS certification within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures in the EP lab and Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
• Deliver non-narcotic medications to Cath Lab medical staff during procedures.
• Operate and troubleshoot general equipment in the lab.
• Scrub in for procedures and monitor patients' hemodynamic status.
• Charge supplies and cases after each procedure is completed.
• Prepare equipment and ensure quality controls are performed on equipment.
• Maintain sterile techniques and patient safety during procedures.
• Assist with code arrest situations, including CPR and defibrillation.
• Collect and generate performance improvement data and reports.
• Participate in non-invasive procedures such as EKG and Stress testing.
