About the position

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver/Loader to join our team at a Door Manufacturing Company. The driver will be responsible for delivering doors and materials to job sites, ensuring timely and safe delivery while providing excellent customer service. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to handle heavy lifting, playing a crucial part in maintaining our commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including manual transmission vehicles, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload products efficiently, ensuring that all items are secured and protected during transit.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients upon delivery.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
• Navigate routes using GPS or maps, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injury.
• Assist with moving items as needed, including coordinating with team members for larger deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
• Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to drive commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
• Must be able to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 60 pounds) regularly.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
