About the position
The Delivery Driver/Shop Helper at Hometown Heating is responsible for delivering HVAC equipment and supplies to job sites, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools to meet customer expectations. This role involves driving a 14' box truck, maintaining delivery logs, and assisting with shop organization, contributing to the overall efficiency of the operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 14' box truck to deliver HVAC equipment and materials to job sites.
- Pick up parts and supplies from suppliers as needed.
- Maintain accurate delivery and pickup logs.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and secure transport.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean and efficient shop environment.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and clients.
Requirements
- Clean Driving Record: Valid driver's license with no major violations.
- Dependable and Punctual: Strong work ethic and commitment to timeliness.
- Experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles (preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
