About the position

The Starbucks Manager is responsible for overseeing customer relations and satisfaction within the Starbucks department. This role focuses on creating a culture of food exploration and innovation while ensuring compliance with company policies and food safety regulations. The manager actively participates in hiring, training, and coaching employees to deliver exceptional customer service and meet financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Create a culture of food exploration, innovation, and education for customers and employees.
  • Set goals for Starbucks employees and model teamwork.
  • Demonstrate a calm demeanor during high volume periods and manage transitions smoothly.
  • Train and hold employees accountable for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Drive the implementation of company programs through action plans and motivation.
  • Manage operations with integrity and promote Starbucks' culture and values.
  • Plan, communicate, and delegate responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Enforce safe food preparation and handling practices in compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Order products for the department and manage inventory.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Food Safety Manager Certification required.
  • 3-5 years of proven leadership experience or comparable experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining control.
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of management and staff.
  • Knowledge of supervision principles and techniques.
  • Leadership skills and a proven operations track record.
  • Knowledge of quality Starbucks products and customer service standards.
  • Experience in ordering, inventory maintenance, and shrink control.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Software.
