About the position

The Desktop Support and Data Solutions Technician at Outten & Golden LLP will provide comprehensive IT support, including incident management, service requests, onboarding/offboarding, and database administration. This role requires effective communication of technical information to non-technical staff and collaboration with various teams to ensure the smooth operation of the firm's desktop environment. The technician will report directly to the Chief Information Officer/CISO and will be expected to work on-site in the San Francisco office several days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for hardware, software, printers, and video conferencing across the Firm.
  • Manage system tickets, tier 1 security requests, and maintain detailed records in the IT ticketing system.
  • Conduct remote troubleshooting via phone, email, shared desktop, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Create and update documentation for security compliance, audit policies, and IT processes.
  • Assist with testing new software and patches, restore data using the Firm's backup system, and maintain workstations/peripherals.
  • Facilitate onboarding/offboarding processes and image devices using Microsoft Intune.
  • Assist with developing and enhancing web applications using modern web development frameworks.
  • Assist with integrating third-party APIs and developing custom APIs.
  • Perform database administration tasks, including schema design and optimization for SQL Server databases.
  • Utilize SSRS and Power Platform to create interactive reports for internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Experience with server-side programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or Node.js.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+ Certification, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with cloud phone systems, MDM Solutions, and Microsoft Intune.
  • Working knowledge of IT Policies and Procedures, Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365, and Active Directory.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
