About the position

The Director of Fraud Detection at Fidelity's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) is responsible for leading the development of fraud detection capabilities to combat customer fraud. This role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance detection, prevention, and investigation of fraud events, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and goals while maintaining a focus on customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of fraud detection capabilities through collaboration with various teams.
  • Define and maintain the product management lifecycle.
  • Influence broader strategic decisions for products.
  • Supervise all stages of product creation, including design and development.
  • Ensure the product roadmap aligns with the overall Prevention and Detection Product Area vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with customer experience owners and business technology teams to understand and translate their needs into product requirements.
  • Enable delivery of product value with quality and standards.
  • Produce product performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare business presentations to demonstrate results and alignment to expected outcomes.
  • Build daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and product features for potential advantages.
  • Align closely with customer-facing businesses on new product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in technical analysis related to financial fraud and/or information security.
  • Experience building machine learning models to evaluate financial transactions and customer online behaviors.
  • Experience working with relational databases or big data environments using SQL, R, Python, Hadoop, or SAS.
  • Experience developing interactive dashboards and reports using visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Familiarity with cyber fraud, technical threats, technology risk, and privacy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task across various responsibilities in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Ability to perform correlation and analysis of logs from disparate internal systems to identify potentially fraudulent events.
  • Ability to collate data from multiple digital fraud and security tools for deeper threat insights using advanced analytics.
