About the position

The Director of Project Management at Mainstream Fiber Networks is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of network deployment programs, including FTTH, enterprise, and MDU project management. This role involves leading a team of project managers and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of FTTH technology and project management methodologies, with experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive FTTH deployment strategy aligned with the organization's overall business objectives.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of FTTH, Enterprise, MDU and other go-to-market deployment programs, from initiation to closure.
• Manage program budgets and schedules, ensuring adherence to financial and timeline targets.
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, construction, operations) and external partners (contractors, vendors) to ensure seamless project execution.
• Implement robust project management methodologies and tools to track progress, identify issues, and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of project managers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and community leaders.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management, summarizing program status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with a focus on FTTH network deployment.
• 5+ years of experience in program management role, leading large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of FTTH technology, network architecture, and construction practices.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and schedules.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of GIS and network planning tools.
• Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in working with local government agencies and obtaining permits.
