About the position
The Disk Maintenance position at Pratt & Whitney involves repairing and maintaining complex electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This role is essential for ensuring the operational efficiency of equipment within the maintenance department, requiring a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Repair and perform daily and monthly planned maintenance on equipment with electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Calibrate complex electronic and electrical systems using hardwired or computerized controls.
- Work from drawings and service manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Utilize test instruments such as oscilloscopes and digital measuring equipment to identify faulty circuits.
- Replace or substitute devices such as amplifiers, logic cards, and printed circuit boards, making necessary adjustments.
- Support the needs of the business by performing related duties as necessary.
- Demonstrate commitment to EH&S and continuous improvement programs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice-to-haves
- 2 years or more of industrial maintenance experience with machines (both electrical and mechanical).
- Experience working with Microsoft Office.
