About the position

The Security Officer position at Andy Frain Services involves providing security detail as outlined in post orders while establishing working relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. The role requires constant awareness of surroundings and maintaining a professional image while delivering excellent customer service. Security Officers are responsible for controlling entrances, patrolling buildings, inspecting security and fire exposures, and completing various reports related to their assignments.

Responsibilities

• Control entrances and manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
• Patrol buildings and perimeters to ensure safety.
• Escort materials and personnel as needed.
• Inspect security and fire exposures regularly.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, and Incident Reports.
• Monitor cameras and equipment as outlined in post orders.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency policies and procedures to respond to incidents.
• Communicate daily with the Security Supervisor regarding security issues.
• Make recommendations for safety and loss prevention processes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum 3 - 6 months prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems, or access computer systems.
• State Guard license is required.
• Willingness to submit to a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
