About the position
The Donation Station Attendant plays a crucial role in representing the charity to donors by providing exceptional service and maintaining a clean donation site. This part-time position focuses on donor satisfaction and involves managing donations effectively while ensuring compliance with the charity's acceptance policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide courteous and respectful service to donors.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the donation site.
- Safeguard donations until they can be picked up by truck drivers.
- Refuse donations that do not meet the charity's acceptance criteria.
- Greet and thank each donor upon arrival.
- Offer assistance in carrying donations to the trailer.
- Issue receipts for donations to donors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- High level of diplomacy and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in customer service or a related field.
Nice-to-haves
