About the position

The Driver/Warehouse Associate at Munch's Supply is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of merchandise to customers, vendors, and other locations using a company vehicle. This role encompasses various warehouse tasks including processing, handling, shipping, receiving, and stocking products. The position emphasizes customer service excellence and adherence to safety policies while working across all departments within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe, timely, accurate, and efficient product deliveries.
• Delivers and transfers merchandise to and from customers, vendors, branch locations, or other locations as directed by their supervisor.
• Accurately checks all products as loaded and/or unloaded by the driver against the paperwork associated with the delivery.
• Reports any delays to supervisor throughout the day.
• Checks in with supervisor before and after each departure or arrival at the branch, and after each delivery drop or pickup while on the road.
• Follows all procedures associated with deliveries.
• Confers with supervisor prior to departure on proper form of payment for any COD order.
• Secures all products in the vehicle properly to prevent shifting or damage during deliveries.
• Performs general warehouse work as directed, including working in any and all departments related to incoming or outgoing product.
• Assists with shipping, receiving, transfers, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to packing slips.
• Moves materials and items from receiving or transfer areas to shipping areas or stock locations as designated.
• Sorts and places product on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences.

Requirements

• High School diploma or its GED equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience with driving, warehousing, and related functions.
• Satisfactory DMV report plus driver insurability.
• Valid minimum 1-year DOT certification and state driver's license.
• Demonstrates ability and willingness to safely operate warehouse equipment.
• Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• 3 or more years' experience with driving, warehousing and related functions.
