About The Position

The Distribution EHS Coordinator at Bass Pro Shops is responsible for supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs at the distribution center. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing safety programs to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulatory standards. The position is ideal for recent graduates with relevant training and experience, focusing on safety management, incident management, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations, and other relevant safety standards.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 30-Hour certification
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Other safety-related certifications

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage safety programs to improve employee safety and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies regarding safety and environmental compliance.
• Conduct post-accident investigations and prepare reports on root causes and hazards.
• Promote a safe workplace by leading safety training and Safety Committee meetings.
• Perform regular safety inspections and maintain safety records and compliance logs.
• Stay updated with local, state, and federal safety regulations and manage safety documentation.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to mitigate future accidents.
• Oversee workers' compensation, safety audits, and emergency preparedness programs.
