About the position

The EHS Specialist role at Systems, LLC focuses on ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations within the organization. The successful candidate will monitor adherence to safety rules, conduct audits, and provide support during incident investigations. This position is integral to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting a culture of safety across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor adherence to all safety rules and regulations established in the EHS System, including managing the contractor safety program.
  • Carry out scheduled audits to ensure legal compliance in matters of Environment, Health and Safety and issue compliance reports to managers.
  • Monitor compliance of work teams with the planned inspections program and conduct periodic audits, reporting findings to supervisors and managers.
  • Provide subject matter expert (SME) support during incident investigations, issue recommendations, and classify incidents per OSHA and CG Global EHS requirements.
  • Coordinate emergency response drills and training, and audit the condition and availability of emergency response equipment.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable EHS rules and regulations.
  • Lead the Safety Committee, including scheduling meetings, setting agendas, and engaging employees.
  • Ensure visibility of warning signs and labels throughout the plant.
  • Support and facilitate Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and risk level reduction planning.
  • Design, deliver, and maintain training for EHS programs and standards, including training for instructors and employees.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results and participating in projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a related position.
  • Minimum of a High school degree or GED equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with OSHA regulations and compliance.
  • Familiarity with environmental safety standards.
  • Certification in safety management or related field.
