About the position

The Elderly Transportation Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers, particularly the elderly, while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. This part-time role emphasizes excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate transport vans as required.
  • Ensure punctual pick up and drop offs.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules, routes, and any issues that may arise during transport.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of passengers as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle at all times.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of oneself, passengers, and others on the road.

Requirements

  • Valid Connecticut Driver's License, with a 'V' or 'P' endorsement.
  • Experience as a van driver is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in passenger transportation is a plus.
  • Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; knowledge of Fairfield County and surrounding areas is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Must be able to pass background checks and adhere to company policies regarding safety and conduct.
