About the position

The Electrical Designer will be responsible for designing electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems to support various engineering projects. This role may involve acting as a team leader on selected projects and requires proficiency in design software, particularly AutoCAD. The position entails working on a variety of design tasks related to power distribution systems, motor control centers, and other electrical systems across different industries.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems for engineering projects.
• Act as an electrical team leader on selected projects.
• Complete designs using AutoCAD 2D and 3D, and potentially other CAD platforms.
• Perform typical design tasks including low and medium voltage power distribution systems, motor control centers, and facility substations.
• Conduct power study analysis and design cable tray, conduit, and cabling systems.
• Collaborate on projects for varying customers and industries.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Electrical Designer using AutoCAD or related CAD software.
• Experience with power system design.
• Familiarity with lighting software.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of industrial and commercial buildings and ability to execute related designs.
• Experience with Autodesk 3D is preferred.
• Experience with hazardous environments, heavy industry, refinery/petroleum facilities, and similar environments is preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
